Hamish Pringle
Director General, IPA

Since 2001, Hamish has been Director General of the IPA and represents agency interests on a number of key industry bodies including the Advertising Association, the Advertising Standards Boards of Finance, BARB, RAJAR, the EACA and the UKTI Creative Industries Marketing Strategy Advisory Board.

He began his agency career at Ogilvy, Benson & Mather after graduating in PPE from Trinity College, Oxford in 1973. He then worked at McCormick Richards, Boase Massimi Pollitt, McCormick Intermarco-Farner/Publicis, Abbott Mead Vickers, Madell Wilmot Pringle, Leagas Delaney, CME KHBB, Saatchi & Saatchi and Brand Beliefs.

He has written ‘Celebrity Sells’, co-authored, 'Brand Spirit', 'Brand Manners’ and ‘Brand Immortality’, and is currently co-authoring a book on media strategy. He is the inventor of the Diagonal Thinking concept which has resulted in the free online self-assessment at www.diagonalthinking.co.uk 

Hamish is a Fellow of the IPA and of the Marketing Society.

 

Frank Wainwright

Publisher, Field Marketing

Frank Wainwright is a writer, journalist and broadcaster turned publisher, who specialises in marketing. He started Field Marketing and Brand Experience magazine in 2001.

He also created the Field Marketing and Brand Experience Awards six years ago. These awards mark the annual pinnacle of achievement in face to face field and experiential marketing for leading agencies and the brands they represent, in the UK and worldwide.

 


Bruce Hayward

Evaluation and Strategy Analyst,

AEG Europe

 

Bruce Hayward is the Evaluation and Strategy Analyst for AEG Europe. Bruce develops evaluations and sponsorship strategies on global AEG properties and is also a consultant to 3rd party clients.

His work for clients include evaluating potential sponsorship properties, specialising in Naming Rights and brand partnerships and developing sales strategies to maximise revenues . Clients have included Everton FC, Tottenham Hotspur FC, Blackpool Tower and Bluewater.

Prior to this, Bruce was a TV Director in the media buying advertising sector, working in agencies including MC Saatchi and WPP where he was responsible for over £100 Million of billings for a range of clients including Specsavers, Marks & Spencer and the Dixon Group.

 

Richard Isom

Commercialisation Manager, Bluewater

After starting his career with Lend Lease at Bluewater as an accounts clerk in August 2001, Richard held a number of varied roles at Bluewater before moving to the position of Commercialisation Manager at Touchwood, a 650,000 sq ft centre located in the West Midlands.
 
Responsible for bringing non core revenue to the centre, Richard successfully ensured that Touchwood positioned itself as a premier destination for brands within the West Midlands in the face of an increasingly competitive landscape.
 
In January 2009 Richard was appointed Commercialisation Manager at Bluewater, responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of Commercialisation including the overall business management and long term strategy initiatives.
 
Richard has managed many significant events during his time at Bluewater including the Virgin Media SpeedWeek50 event featuring Jenson Button, which attracted incremental income and PR coverage valued in the millions, and developing and implementing the latest asset enhancement project, The Pirate Cove Adventure Park, a unique offering within a retail destination which features two Florida style 18 hole adventure golf courses opened to the public in September 2010.

 

Matt Gordon

Managing Director, Limited Space

Matt emigrated to the UK from New Zealand after a successful senior management role at Motion Industries, Australasia’s second largest privately owned company. He cofounded Limited Space in 2002 and under his leadership the company has grown from a local media company into a successful national media owner with a portfolio of over 80 premium shopping malls.
Limited Space concentrates purely on the mall environment with media formats ranging from large format static sties to fully interactive large format digital screens. As Managing Director Matt’s role is wide reaching but is significantly involved in commercialisation as well as industry focused research. Consequently there are few people within the industry who understand how media integrates within the mall environment any better.

Francesca Davies

Group Brand Manager,

Weetabix Ltd.

Currently Francesca holds Group Brand Manager responsiblilty for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies across the portfolio of Weetabix Food Company brands.

Francesca began her career working for Sara Lee and Northern Foods after graduating with a degree from the University of Leeds.

Most recently Francesca was awarded the 'Highly Commended Young Marketer of the Year' by the Marketing Society of Excellence for the turnaround in fortunes of the Alpen brand.

 

Rachael Wallis

Director of Retail, JCDecaux

Rachael is responsible for outdoor advertising across JCDecaux's shopping malls, a portfolio that includes 47 of the top 100 malls and 20 of the top 30.  

Rachaels expertise also include point-of-sale 6-sheet advertising at the UK's largest supermarkets Tesco, ASDA and Morrisons and at Waitrose.  

Rachael joined JCDecaux in 1998.
